HERE

We got to Baltimore last night around 7:00.  We have always loved staying at the Children's House.  It's kind of my home away from home, and they make you feel so comfortable right away.  It's small and cozy, and has about 15 rooms.  Each floor has a kitchen that you share with all the other families on your floor, which is decked out with anything you need.  The rooms are simple, nice, and clean.  We've already put all our clothes into the drawers and are moved in!  Last night when we checked in, they told us that they were having a monday night football party downstairs in the TV room, complete with chicken wings from the local bar.  So Benny was pretty stoked!  Many nights a week, dinner is provided from local restaurants, charities, or church groups.  It's so great!  Here's the link to the place we are staying:

Last night we also went to target to get some stuff for Lily.  Poor girl can only have clear liquids all day today, so I got juice, broth, jello & popsicles.  Everytime she says she's hungry, I hand her a popsicle.  We are heading to the hospital at noon to check in.  She'll sleep there tonight because surgery is at 7am tomorrow.  They are doing a bowel clean out today and any other surgery prep stuff.  It's scary.  I didn't sleep great last night,  And I will sleep terrible tonight.  I keep saying that this trip is going to age me.  I am fully expecting 20 new grey hairs and 10 new wrinkles, as well as gain some weight and lose my tan.  But whatever, I'm here for one reason - to get Lily through this.  I'll be posting more later about how the pre-op goes.

Miss Lily you are one tough cookie! I am sending you good thoughts and vibes... we miss you at school and can't wait to have you come back. Rest, heal and be well. Mom and Dad.. hang in there, you CAN do hard things! My favorite quote that I always recited during my cancer was "I'm stronger then I think I am!" May this quote help you through.
