Countdown: 3 weeks before

*** This used to be our family blog that I recently resurrected.  For the next couple months, I will be recording our journey as we take Lily back east for a big surgery.  We always knew this was coming, but not exactly sure when. We got the call a few days ago with a date of Oct 29th!  Exactly 3 weeks from today Lily will be having her surgery.  We are now scrambling to prepare and gear up for this challenge. Yesterday we sent in our application to get flights through Miracle Flights again. We hope we will qualify for free or discounted flights.  Referrals are in for the Children's House and Ronald McDonald house- which is where we stay when we are released from the hospital.  Our plan is to try and enjoy the rest of October together and not get too distracted.  We want the kids to still feel like life is normal for a little longer.  But easier said than done!
