New Diggs

We finally moved out of the PICU today!! She was supposed to be out of there a couple days ago, but they didn't have room downstairs. Today we made the move, which is quite and ordeal! Lots of cords and monitors and wires!
We are now in "step-down" ICU, which basically means she does not need a nurse at her side at all times. There are four nurses that share 6 patients. I have a way better chair that folds out to a bed, which made my day!

Here is our new "corner". I have a nice window overlooking the oldest building of Johns Hopkins. It's very cool! Lily is sleeping peacefully!

I meet more and more great nurses all the time, and they all have lots of experience with this! They know all the ways to move her and make her comfy! Every day I am more and more thankful that this all worked out. When I think of the other options I had, it makes me sick. Although this is a huge undertaking, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am soooo excited for you. She looks so so cute. I love her. She is just a doll. I miss seeing her smiley face and yours too. That old building looks amazing. I love it back east. So during the day do you just hang out next to lily? Whats a normal day like for you out there. I am so curious! Miss ya!

Nurses rule!!! They are the real heroes! You find that out really quick in a hospital, huh? :-)

That is so great that they moved her, and that everything is going right. I remember those fold out chairs from when I would go and stay with Collins. Its funny how those little things made the world of a difference in the hospital.

I'm so glad she's doing well. The pics still break my heart though. I love the updates and all the randoms you post about. It makes me feel like I'm sitting there in the hospital room with you just gabbing. Keep it coming!

How's the book? :)

Hugs to you and Lily!

(oh, and I love that you call her Lily Lou..I call Leda, Leda Lou and she now has started calling me Mommy Lou. lol.
