H A L F W A Y !

We are halfway through the 6 weeks today! Hooray! So I feel like now I can start counting down instead of up. Lily is doing really good (knock on wood)! She has been sailing through this so far, but we still have a long way to go. I am learning a lot and meeting some great people. Yesterday was Avery's surgery (the other baby), and it went great. She is now in the PICU and going through all the "day after" stuff. She'll be coming down to where I am soon and then I'll have a friend to chat with all day long. That should make the days go by faster, hopefully! The one drawback we are facing today is that the epidural fell out, well actually I think Lily pulled it out. We had been talking about re-taping it on, and then went to check it and it was out. It was getting to the time of taking it out anyway, so not a big deal. However, she will now start to feel more, which I'm sure how that will affect her wiggling. We have lots of other pain options, so we will be on top of that. I am enjoying spending time with Lily. She will smile at everyone, and I can really get her to laugh sometimes which is the best sound in the world! I am continually thankful for everyone's prayers and well wishes. I am thankful to be in the best hospital in the world, with the best exstrophy experience in the world. Yay for halfway!
