So here we go again . . .

We made it to Friday! Lily will go back to the OR today for a small procedure with the plastic surgery and urology teams.  They are going to fix up her belly button, close it and repair it so it looks better.  While she is under, the team will also be doing a few extra things.  They are taking out a couple tubes, cleaning, and re-bandaging so that she can sleep through it all and not feel it.  Yay for that!  I was talking to the guys last night and said that I'm going to put a post it note on her tummy to remind them of all the little things to do while she's under.  Her anxiety has not gotten better, so the more they can do while she's out the better!  They had to squeeze us into the schedule today, so her surgery isn't till 2pm.  Which is a bummer cause she has been complaining all morning about wanting a drink.  Yep, back to that.  She can't have anything to drink or eat all morning, so I have been trying my very best to distract her.  Movies, books, whatever.  We just got back from the playroom and did some painting.  She has been doing so good with walking, and today we made it down the hall to say hi to all the nurses.  She likes to hear their cheers. :) 

I will update later after the surgery about how it goes.  I'm really hoping that they are able to close it and make this thing heal.  The fact that she is supposed to be cathing through it in a couple weeks seems very optimistic at best.  So we are really hoping for a swift recovery.  But if I've learned one thing . .  you can't predict anything or go by expectations.
