Birthday Boy

Tomorrow Connor turns 6. I seriously can't believe it! I thought 5 seemed so old, but this year he has really grown up! In the last year he has a new little sister, graduated Pre-school, started Kindergarten and Soccor! He is getting so big and smart! I'm very proud of the boy he is.
He is tender, funny, friendly, creative, loving, and sooooo into Legos! Here are some pictures of his very first birthday. Such a sweet little boy!

ABOUT

Lily (age 5 1/2) will have major bladder reconstruction surgery on Oct 29th at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. It will be an intensive 8 hour surgery, followed by 6 weeks recovery and therapy. Lily was born with Bladder Exstrophy, a very rare and complicated birth defect, and has had many surgeries and procedures in her life so far. This surgery will be an important step for her future. She will finally be continent after having to wear diapers, pull ups, and pads till now. It will not come easy though, as it will take many weeks of hard recovery in a city across the country from our home in California. I am making this blog/journal for my friends who also are dealing with bladder exstrophy, and also so that me and Lily will have a record of our experiences during this trial in our lives.
