OH, MEXICO

We just returned from an amazing week in Cancun! We went with Benny's parents and all the brothers and sisters. Which makes a total of 17 people! It was a blast! We did a lot and ate a lot!! And somewhere in there we did get to lay out and read a little. It was super relaxing and memorable!! THANKS EKS!!!!

Day before we went home, we found an amazing empty beach, like the one in all the pictures! It was a beautiful place!

ABOUT

Lily (age 5 1/2) will have major bladder reconstruction surgery on Oct 29th at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. It will be an intensive 8 hour surgery, followed by 6 weeks recovery and therapy. Lily was born with Bladder Exstrophy, a very rare and complicated birth defect, and has had many surgeries and procedures in her life so far. This surgery will be an important step for her future. She will finally be continent after having to wear diapers, pull ups, and pads till now. It will not come easy though, as it will take many weeks of hard recovery in a city across the country from our home in California. I am making this blog/journal for my friends who also are dealing with bladder exstrophy, and also so that me and Lily will have a record of our experiences during this trial in our lives.
